On the night of August 2, a thunderstorm rolled over the Dirt Hills near Avonlea. I ventured out in the car to see what I could catch.

Sometimes the first shot is the best! The lights of two farms are below, and the tower on the big hill is on the left. A few millimetres of much needed rain rehydrated part of the prairie. There was a lot of electricity in this photo.
