Avonlea Badland Shadows

Evening light is so rich. When the sun sets, the golden hour lights up this distinctly textured landscape beautifully. I only hope I can do it justice.

How lucky we were to see this pair of deer grazing in the bottom.

Mini hoodoos are exposed from the bentonite and slowly erode with each rain.

Part of a movie called “The Englishman’s Boy” was shot on this beautiful spot.

Under the bench.

Curious cows on the cliff. Imagine them as bison!

It was a nice hike as the day cooled.
